Description
The Analog Devices SSM2167-1RMZ-R7 is a preamplifier and compressor IC designed for use in low-power audio applications. This device operates from a single 3.3V or 5V power supply and features a built-in preamplifier capable of providing up to 26dB of gain. The SSM2167-1RMZ-R7 also includes a compression engine with a ratio of 2:1 and a fixed attack time of 3ms. The compressor can be configured to operate in two modes; a “voice mode” optimized for speech signals and a “music mode” optimized for music signals.
Additionally, the SSM2167-1RMZ-R7 includes a noise gate with a threshold set to -38dBV. The noise gate helps to minimize background noise when the audio signal is below the threshold level.
