Description
The Analog Devices AD7928WBRUZ-REEL is a high-performance, 12-bit, SAR analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that operates at a maximum sampling rate of 1 MSPS. This tiny device consists of eight single-ended inputs with a pseudo-differential sampling structure that suppresses common-mode noise in the signal path. The converter has an inbuilt SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) data output interface that allows it to send the output data to a microcontroller for further processing. The device operates on a single power supply ranging from 2.7V to 5.5V, making it easy to interface with most embedded systems.
The AD7928WBRUZ-REEL is designed with a low noise performance of about 0.5 LSB, which makes it suitable for measurement and sensing applications that require high precision. The converter has an excellent dynamic performance and maintains a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 73 dB and a total harmonic distortion (THD) of -77dB. This device also features a power-down mode that reduces the current consumption to approximately 0.5 μA, thereby saving power in battery-powered applications.
