Description
The MC3487DR is a quad emitter-follower that provides an interface between TTL and differential PECL (Positive ECL) or NECL (Negative ECL) logic levels. The device accepts TTL signals with a Vcc-powered input/output interface and translates them to PECL or NECL levels using a regulated power supply derived from the Vcc input. The MC3487DR is compatible with TTL and LSTTL logic families, and its high-speed operation up to 200 MHz frequency makes it ideal for a range of high-performance applications.
The device features a low input/output capacitance, which minimizes loading effects on the TTL output driver. It has a differential input stage that provides common-mode rejection of typically 1V, making it suitable for use in noisy environments. The MC3487DR also includes an enable input that allows disabling of all four drivers to conserve power and minimize noise. Overall, the MC3487DR is a versatile, reliable, and cost-effective interface solution for demanding applications that require high-speed data communications and signal integrity
