Description
The Texas Instruments TCA6424ARGJR is a 24-channel, low-voltage input/output (I/O) expander that operates on a supply range of 1.65 V to 3.6 V, making it suitable for low-power, battery-operated devices, as well as industrial and automotive applications. Its 24 channels can be configured as inputs, outputs, or a combination of both, and support up to 400 kHz I²C communication with the host processor.
The TCA6424ARGJR features programmable polarity inversion, interrupt on change-of-state (COS) for each I/O, and adjustable input threshold levels. It also includes a power-on reset (POR) circuit that sets all I/Os to their default state and prevents unintentional outputs during power-up. The device is housed in a 5 mm × 5 mm 24-pin QFN package with thermal pad and is rated for operation in the temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C
