Description
Texas Instruments TCA6424RGJR is an eight-channel input/output expander that is designed to enhance the capabilities of microcontrollers through the provision of an additional eight input/output channels. The device features two address pins that support up to four unique slave addresses, thereby enabling the connection of up to four TCA6424RGJRs on the same I²C bus.
This IC is fabricated in a CMOS process, which enables low power consumption and high noise immunity. It operates with a supply voltage range of 1.65V to 5.5V, and each channel can sink or source a current of up to 25mA. Additionally, the device is capable of generating an interrupt signal to the controller upon the detection of a change in state of a specified input channel.
