Description
The Texas Instruments SN74LV244ADBR is an octal buffer/driver with 3-state outputs. Each of the 8 buffers can sink or source up to 25mA of current. This device operates at a low voltage of 1.65V to 5.5V and has a glitch-free power-up and power-down protection circuitry preventing damage to the devices in the event of a power-up/down sequence.
This device also comes with an output enable input (OE), which when driven high, puts all outputs into high-impedance state ensuring that the current is not drawn from the power supply. The input and output are built with ESD protection diodes limiting the voltage and current applied to them during ESD events. The SN74LV244ADBR comes in a small SOIC-20 package, making it ideal for space-constrained applications.
