Description
The Analog Devices ADuM6400CRWZ is a quad channel digital isolator that provides robust isolation for communication interfaces. Each channel comprises of two high speed digital isolation channels that can operate at data rates up to 150 Mbps. The device has a wide operating voltage range of 3V to 5.5V and can operate within temperatures ranging from -40°C to +105°C. It is housed in a small 16-pin wide body SOIC package and is compatible with RoHS regulations.
The ADuM6400CRWZ has an integrated DC-to-DC converter which provides isolated power to the secondary side of the device. The device uses Analog Devices' proprietary iCoupler technology for isolation, providing superior isolation characteristics such as high common-mode transient immunity, low propagation delay and low power consumption. The device also features a fail-safe output that ensures that the output stays in a known state when input signals are not present. The ADuM6400CRWZ is ideal for use in isolating communication interfaces such as USB, I2C, SPI and more in industrial environments where high levels of noise and voltage spikes are common
