Description
The Linear LTC4355IMS#PBF is a current sharing ideal diode controller that is used to replace high power Schottky diodes and Schottky rectifiers in a range of power supply and battery backup applications. This device greatly improves upon the inefficiencies of Schottky diodes due to their voltage drops and reverse leakage current.
The LTC4355IMS#PBF features an integrated charge pump that allows it to control two separate N-channel MOSFETs that provide power to the load, while maintaining a low impedance path for input voltage. Furthermore, the device's current sharing function controls the forward conduction of each MOSFET to ensure that they share the load current evenly.
