Description
The NXP PCA2117DUGSDAZ is a low-power, I2C-bus compatible real-time clock/calendar (RTC) housed in a small 8-pin SO package. It provides year, month, day, weekday, hours, minutes, and seconds information with leap-year compensation up to the year 2100. The device also includes a programmable alarm, a timer function, and a power-fail detect function.
The PCA2117DUGSDAZ has a 32.768 kHz crystal oscillator and a 1024-byte battery-backed static RAM (with 56 bytes used for the clock/calendar and alarm registers). It operates on a single supply voltage ranging from 1.8V to 5.5V and has a low operating current of 0.75μA in standby mode, making it ideal for use in battery-powered applications. Communication with the device is done through the I2C-bus interface, which allows for easy integration with many microcontroller systems
