Description
IXYS PLA140 is a high power, phase leg array designed for high voltage and high current switching applications. It is a three-phase full-bridge rectifier with silicon carbide power MOSFETs and features low switching losses, high blocking voltage, and high temperature operation. The PLA140 is capable of switching up to 1200V DC voltage with a maximum continuous current of 85A, making it ideal for use in high-power motor drive applications, renewable energy systems, and DC-DC converters.
The PLA140 phase leg array features an integrated gate driver with short-circuit protection, and each phase leg consists of four silicon carbide MOSFETs. The low switching losses of the MOSFETs result in reduced power dissipation and higher efficiency. The high blocking voltage of the PLA140 allows it to withstand high peak voltages and surges while the high-temperature operation makes it suitable for use in harsh environments.
