Description
The Texas Instruments LM75AIMX/NOPB is a digital temperature sensor and thermal watchdog device. It is a tiny, integrated circuit that is designed to accurately measure temperature with a resolution of 0.125°C. This IC employs a two-wire interface for communication and can operate with a supply voltage of 2.8V to 5.5V. It features an accuracy of ±2°C over the temperature range of -25°C to 100°C and an accuracy of ±3°C over the range of -55°C to 125°C. The LM75A also has an on-chip thermostat with user-defined temperature thresholds that trigger an output alert. The device is designed for both commercial and industrial applications including personal computers, servers, and automotive.
The LM75AIMX/NOPB temperature sensor has an internal register that monitors the temperature and provides a digital output proportional to the temperature measured. The device also includes a power-saving feature that allows the part to automatically shut down when it is not in use. It has an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C and is housed in a tiny 8-pin SOIC package. The LM75AIMX/NOPB draws current in the milliamp range and connects to the host system through a standard two-wire I2C bus. With its highly accurate temperature measurement capability and flexible alarm functionality, the LM75AIMX/NOPB is an ideal choice for temperature sensing and monitoring in a wide range of industrial and consumer applications
