The ON Semiconductor FDMS86163P is a high-performance PowerTrench MOSFET designed for use in switch mode power supplies, DC-DC converters, and motor control applications. It features a low RDS(on) of 2.3 mohm and a maximum drain current of 160A, making it ideal for high current applications. Its package is a 5mm x 6mm Power56, which provides a smaller footprint than traditional packages such as TO-220. The transistor is constructed using a proprietary process that minimizes on-state resistance while maintaining high switching speeds.
