Description
The Lite-On LTV-847 is an optocoupler with a transistor output. It consists of an infrared emitting diode and a NPN silicon phototransistor in a plastic housing. The optocoupler is used to provide electrical isolation between two circuits. When an electrical signal is applied to the infrared emitting diode, it emits infrared radiation that is detected by the phototransistor. The phototransistor then turns on, providing an electrical connection between the input and output circuits. The transistor output is capable of switching 100mA at 80V and is suitable for interfacing with microcontrollers, PLCs, and other digital circuits.
The LTV-847 optocoupler provides high isolation between circuits with a minimum isolation voltage of 5,000V RMS. It has a high current transfer ratio of typically 500% at a collector current of 1mA, making it suitable for applications where low input currents are required. Additionally, the optocoupler has a wide operating temperature range of -55°C to +100°C, allowing it to be used in harsh industrial environments. The device is available in a compact, surface mount package, making it ideal for space-constrained applications. The LTV-847 optocoupler is a reliable and cost-effective solution for electrical isolation in a wide range of electronics applications
