Description
The Linear LTC2850HDD#PBF is a high-speed RS485/RS422 transceiver designed to operate with 5V and 3.3V power supply. The device uses differential signaling and can operate at up to 20Mbps. It has a maximum common-mode voltage range of -7V to +12V, and can withstand high-voltage transients of up to ±60V.
The device has a half-duplex interface and is available in a compact 8-pin SOIC package. It features a selectable slew rate control for optimized data rate and power consumption, and a receiver input threshold that can be set to either a logic high or a logic low. The LTC2850HDD#PBF also has a thermal shutdown protection feature that automatically disables the device if the junction temperature exceeds a certain threshold. It is suitable for use in industrial and automotive applications where high-speed communication and reliability are critical
