Description
The NXP PCA9505DGG,118 is a 24-bit I/O expander with a 2-wire I2C interface. It is designed to provide additional I/Os to microcontrollers or other devices, allowing for more flexibility in designing and controlling various electronic systems. The device has a total of three hardware address pins that enable up to eight devices to be connected to a single I2C bus, providing up to 192 I/O ports. The PCA9505DGG,118 has Schmitt-triggered inputs to avoid noise glitches, which provides stable operation in noisy environments. It is capable of 400 kHz Fast-mode I2C communication and has built-in ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection to ensure reliable operation even in the most adverse environments.
Moreover, the PCA9505DGG,118 features an open-drain interrupt output, which can be programmed to trigger either on input activity or on the achievement of programmable logic levels. The user-configurable logic levels allow the detection of rising or falling edges, high levels or low levels. The device’s interrupt output can be used in sleep mode to wake up a device from a low-power state or to send an alarm to the system. The PCA9505DGG,118 is a versatile and cost-effective I/O expander suitable for a wide range of applications, including industrial control, process automation, home automation, and building control systems. Its small size and low power consumption make it ideal for battery-powered devices such as remote controls and sensor networks
