Description
The NXP PCA9306D,118 is a bi-directional I2C bus voltage level translator designed specifically for use in mixed voltage level systems. The device provides bidirectional voltage translations between low voltage (e.g. 1.8V) and high voltage (e.g. 5V) systems, with independent power supply rails for each voltage domain. The PCA9306D,118 operates over a wide voltage range of 1.2V to 5.5V and is capable of translating both the clock (SCL) and data (SDA) signals, making it suitable for a wide range of I2C applications.
The device is also designed to minimize power consumption, with a low standby current of 1µA and low supply current of 0.5mA (typical) at full load. Additionally, the device features an open-drain output design, allowing it to be used with multiple masters in multi-master systems.
