Description
The STMicroelectronics SM5908 is a highly integrated battery charger and power management IC designed for portable electronic devices. The device features a fully integrated switch mode charger with a programmable charging current and input voltage range, as well as a programmable output voltage with a maximum output current of 1.5A.
In addition, the SM5908 includes a complete power management system with programmable low voltage, over-voltage and over-temperature protection, as well as short circuit and over-current protection. The device is housed in a compact QFN package and operates from a single 4.5V to 16V supply, making it ideal for use in a wide range of portable applications including smartphones, tablets, and portable media players
