Description
The Broadcom ACPL-M75L-000E is an optocoupler with high-speed capabilities. It includes a 850 nm infrared LED that emits light towards a photosensitive detector, which can detect light up to 10 Mbps. This communication pathway is used to isolate and transmit electrical signals across different voltage levels and ground potential differences. This component is commonly used in industrial and high voltage environments, where isolation and noise immunity are critical factors.
On the input side, the ACPL-M75L-000E has two selectable modes of operation, one with a low input current and the other with an improved noise immunity. It also includes an internal shield between the LED and detector, providing extra protection against external electromagnetic interference. On the output side, the component includes an open collector transistor, which provides a low impedance path to ground when activated.
