Description
The Texas Instruments INA138NA/3K is a precision, low-power digital current shunt monitor that is designed for monitoring both AC and DC currents. This device can measure the voltage drop across a shunt resistor in a current path, and it outputs a proportional analogue voltage signal that can be monitored by an external circuit. The INA138NA/3K has a wide input common-mode voltage range of -0.3V to +26V, and it is able to measure currents from as low as ±50mA up to ±3A. Additionally, this current monitor offers a high accuracy over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, and it consumes only 500µA of supply current, which makes it ideal for applications where power consumption is critical.
Incorporating patented techniques that minimize input offset voltage and offset voltage drift, the Texas Instruments INA138NA/3K has a high common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) of 115dB at DC and 80dB at 50Hz.
