Description
The Texas Instruments MAX3221CPWR is a fully integrated RS-232 transceiver that operates using low-voltage, single-supply systems. It features auto-shutdown and multichannel RS-232 interface that provides input voltage range of ±15V with total false start detection and receiver input sensitivity of ±30V. The device features a noninverting driver and a receiver with a logic threshold that makes it compatible with various integrated protocols and systems.
The MAX3221CPWR's output is driven at 5V even when the device is operated at 3.3V. Also, it features an automatic power management feature that reduces power consumption when the device is inactive.
