Description
The Texas Instruments CD4029BE is a CMOS Decade Up/Down Counter with a binary output. It operates on a wide range of supply voltages and can be used in a variety of applications. It has a maximum clock frequency of 16 MHz and can count up to 10 decimal digits. The device can also count up/down using a control pin, which makes it suitable for use in digital circuits.
The CD4029BE consists of four JK flip-flops and a combinational logic circuit. It has four input pins, including clock, enable, preset and up/down. The counter has four output pins (Q0-Q3), which give a binary count output. Additionally, there is a carry-out pin (C0) which is used for cascading multiple CD4029BE devices. The CD4029BE is ideal for use in digital clocks, frequency counters, and digital scales.
