Description
The Texas Instruments ULN2003ADR is a high voltage, high current darlington transistor array. It consists of seven darlington pairs that can drive high voltage and current loads from TTL or CMOS logic outputs. The ULN2003ADR features an input current rating of 2.7mA, making it compatible with a wide range of microcontrollers and other digital logic circuits. In addition to the darlington pairs, the ULN2003ADR also includes flyback diodes to protect the transistors from voltage spikes that can occur when driving inductive loads such as motors.
Each of the seven darlington pairs in the ULN2003ADR can drive loads of up to 50V and 500mA, making it suitable for a wide range of applications such as motor control, display drivers, LED drivers, and relay drivers. The darlington pairs have a gain of around 1000, which allows them to switch on and off much faster than a single transistor would be able to. The ULN2003ADR also includes a thermal shutdown feature that activates when the chip temperature exceeds approximately 150°C, protecting the device from damage due to overheating. Overall, the ULN2003ADR is a versatile and reliable component that can easily handle a wide range of high voltage and current applications with minimal external circuitry
