Description
The NXP PESD1CAN is part of the ESD protection diode series that targets automotive applications. It is designed to protect the controller area network (CAN) bus against electrostatic discharge (ESD), surge and fast transients up to ±30 kV. The device provides low capacitance of 4.5 pF and protects two data lines against transient voltage, enhancing the overall level of ESD protection. The PESD1CAN device provides excellent ESD protection, enabling system designers to meet stringent automotive standards like ISO10605, ISO 7637, and IEC61000-4-2.
The PESD1CAN is built using low-ohmic silicon ESD die with a breakdown voltage of 37 V and a working voltage of 24 V. Its small size (1.0 x 0.6 x 0.6 mm) and integrated design make it an ideal candidate for portable automotive applications that require a high level of reliable ESD protection. Its improved robustness and reliability provide better protection against permanent damage to the controller area network (CAN) bus, making it an attractive solution for the automotive industry
